Hannah Crabtree BSc (Hons) Dip ION mBANT CNHC
Registered Nutritional Therapist

I have always loved food and been interested in learning more about it. My original training was a degree in Food Science and I worked in the food industry for 12 years. But, I didn’t get passionate about nutrition until towards the end of my time as a Technical Manager of a food factory.

I had a stressful job, I was worn out, run down and pregnant. I kept being told that very soon I would be blooming – but it didn’t feel that way. I wanted to support myself naturally so that I could start to enjoy what was supposed to be one of the most amazing times of my life – and that’s when I started to eat food as a tool for health and well-being.

Once the kids came along I became even more interested РI wanted to set up good habits for life. I read everything I could find about nutrition, I was fascinated but I was also confused Рnavigating the information available on the internet was proving tricky!

That’s when I decided to return to college and study for a diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the reknowned
Institute for Optimum Nutrition from which I qualified with distinction.

I am a member of BANT (British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) which requires its members to attain the highest standards of integrity and competence; and a registered practitioner with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), a public, government-funded register which ensures that its members are trained to the high standards set by the National Occupational Standards. I am also a registered Foresight practitioner and offers preconceptiual planning for couples wanting to conceive.

My mission is to empower others to achieve optimal health and well-being, through the provision of first class nutritional advice tailored to their own unique particular lifestyle, values and preferences.

As a food scientist I like to apply a science (and evidence) based approach to my practice. I will work closely with you to develop realistic and practical personalised nutrition programmes. Whether you are aiming to improve your overall health and well- being, resolve a particular health problem or take a preventative approach to your health care, I will support your personal wellness goal.

In addition to my own practice, based at clinics in Amersham, Berkhamsted and London, I also am a nutritionist at Champneys Health Spa Resort in Tring.
