Hi, I’m Hannah, a nutritionist and health coach specialising in helping busy women transform their health & energy and find the weight that feels just right for them.
I have always loved food and been fascinated about learning more about it. So much so that I studied Food Science at University and afterwards I worked in the food industry for 12 years. Life as a Technical Manager of a food factory was sometimes stressful and often required long hours. I balanced this with my fair share of partying! I was often too tired to cook and I regularly grabbed a supermarket ready meal on the way home. I was also battling insomnia, and It never occurred to me that my diet and lifestyle could be part of the problem. By the time I had my second child, the insomnia was worse than ever, I was exhausted, grumpy and miserable (not a great place to be) and I was piling on the pounds around my waist despite a series of post-pregnancy diets. It was time to do something about it!
I started to read about how different food choices could influence how you look, feel and act. I read about blood sugar balancing and started to apply the principles to my own diet (and that of the rest of the family!). The results were amazing. My sleep improved dramatically overnight. I had more energy and began to feel more like exercise. My mood improved, I was much less irritable with my family and my weight started to shift in the right direction. I started to feel like me again.
That’s when I decided to return to college and study for a diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the highly regarded Institute for Optimum Nutrition from which I qualified with distinction.What I learnt there – and in my years of clinical practice since then – can help you to transform your heath so that you too can feel energised and radiant, rediscover your waist, and find the food choices that make you feel fantastic.
As a Mum of two teens, juggling work and family life, I totally get how easy it is for everyone else’s needs to come first.
